Boyd is the main antagonist of Trumpet of the Swan, despite his small role. His intention and goal is to marry Louie's love interest Serena, and he hates Louie for being defective.

Background[]

Personality[]

Boyd is a very mean swan. Describing Boyd's personality, he is arrogant, antagonistic, snobbish, overconfident, competitive, nasty and misogynistic. On the other hand of his personality, he is also cowardly when he bumped into a cliff's wall.

Appearance[]

Boyd is a slender swan who has red hair, red eyebrows and red tips on his wings. Also he has blue-green eyes.

Role in the film[]

Because Louie had interrupted Boyd's wedding with Serena and shown her his cloud heart, telling her that she is his and he is hers, an angry Boyd steals Louie's horn and throws it into the lake, demanding he never come back, resulting in a fight.

Not being literate, Boyd ends up crashing into a dangerous cliff's wall and sitting stuck in a tree branch and gets defeated when Louie, who has learned to read, flies straight upward while they were fighting. He presumably accepts defeat afterwards as he is later seen among the other swans when Father Swan tells the exaggerated story of his "death".
