Richard Rich is an American director, producer and screenwriter. Rich is founder and owner of 20th Century Fox Animation Studios and Crest Animation Productions. Rich started his career in the mailroom of the Walt Disney Studios but worked his way up to first assistant director. He made his directorial debut on The Fox and the Hound.


Rich established Rich Entertainment, then it renamed to Rich Animation Studios, later it renamed again Rich-Crest Animation Studios, and it renamed again to StreetLight Animation. He directed The Swan Princess in 1994 which led up to the last movie of the Swan Princess film series titled "The Swan Princess: Far Longer Than Forever". Besides feature films, Rich has produced direct-to-video series such as Animated Stories from the Book of Mormon, Animated Stories from Church History: The Joseph Smith Story, Animated Stories from the New Testament, Animated Stories from the Bible, Animated Hero Classics and K10C: Kids' Ten Commandments. His most recent credit is as producer on the successful computer-animated comedy drama film Alpha and Omega and as the director/producer of its sequels.
